Happy Birthday Zakir Hussain

 Ustad Zakir Hussain aka Zakir Hussain is celebrating his 71st birthday today(09/03/2023). He is an Indian tabla player, composer, music producer, film actor and percussionist. He is the eldest born to Alla Rakha who is also a tabla player. He was born in Bombay, Maharashtra. 



Hindustani classical music, jazz fusion, world music are his genres. He was awarded with the Padma Shri in 1988, the Padma Bhushan in 2002, the Padma Vibhushan in 2023 by the government of India. In 1999 he was awarded the United States National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowship, the highest award given to traditional artists and musicians.

It's Bin Laden's Birthday...

 Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin laden aka Osama Bin Laden founder of Pan-Islamic militant organization called al-Qaeda was born this day 65 years ago. He was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to a millionaire Mohammed bin Awad bin laden(father) and Hamida al-attas(mother) on 10th march 1957 . The United Nations Security Council, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the European Union and various countries considered his militant organization (al-Qaeda) a terrorist group. Al-Qaeda under bin laden was responsible for the September 11 attacks in United States and many other mass casualty attacks around the world. He had nearly 26 children including Abdallah Bin Laden, Omar Bin Laden, Saad Bin Laden, and Hamza Bin Laden. He participated in many wars and battles such as battle of Jaji, battle of Tora Bora, Afghan war, operation Neptune etc. The courageous militant and founder of the al-Qaeda was shot to death by US forces in Pakistan on 2nd May 2011 .
